Shane is a 7 year old boy, from Ottawa, Canada, who’s been battling cancer for a while now. His wish is to beat the Guiness World Record for the most greeting cards received, before he turns 8 at the end of May 2007.
A local radio station - 105.3 Kiss FM - is challenging people to send in greeting cards for Shane.
Now I challenge you to 1- send in a greeting card for Shane; 2- get your family and friends to do the same; 3- write a post about it on your blog and challenge others.
The last record was for 350,000,000 cards. We can beat that!!! Although it might be 35,000,000 (even better), I’m not 100% sure.
You can send in your card(s) to this address:

A simple gesture to make a 7 year old boy feel better. The power of positive is amazing.

Please note that no e-cards will be counted in the total.
This is a really nice thing that you are doing. I’ll be sure to send one and pass your message onto my friends and family in Ottawa.
I wish I could but I don’t know how but I will keep him in my thoughts.

350,000,000! I’d best get cracking then! Now to find out how much mail costs from Hong Kong to Canada. =(
An easy thing to do to send some positive energy his way. Consider it done.
This is great! Thanks to all!!!
After our card - we are e-mailing this to all of my friends.
Thank you Doug!
I am making a card along with my whole grade seven class for an art assignment. Our teacher thinks it would be a GREAT idea!
We have gotten our whole college involved. Selling and allowing students to make their own cards. With the money made we plan on donating it to the cancer society. A company has also agreed to double the amount up to 500$, so we’re in great shape! Times running out, we need to continue the great work Canada!
That’s amazing! Keep up the good work!
that is really nice! i already made 30 cards i’m still giving more. help shane out, please.
