Yes: getting out of you head is a good idea. I wish I knew how to do it. The only realization I came to, last acting workshop, is that I have the answers. They’re buried deep down, and it just takes some really attentive listening to hear it. And you know, we all know, we’ve all experienced that you can’t listen attentively when there are distractions, both internal and external.
In our (actors) case, and especially in the classes we’re doing, this type of work, the distractions are 98% internal.
