My Paintings (archives)
My older paintings… Feel free to comment on them, but please add why you like them or don’t like them.
Have fun!
Priorities

Oil on canvas, 11″x14″
I had the instinct to paint Diana and her sons, I don’t know why.
This is my first painting from a photograph.
Release
Oil on canvas, 11″x14″
This was pure release. I was feeling sad, angry, resentful…
This is how I took it all out.
Mother’s Day

Oil on canvas, 11″x14″
I did this painting for my Mom (hence the title). It represents the tree’s soul.
It’s funny how she thought it was a boy falling off the branch.
Only Time Will Tell

Oil on canvas, 9″x12″
I’m not sure where this one came from;
I just picked up a brush and that’s how it turned out.
Angel

Oil on canvas, 12″x16″
My father’s guardian angel.
Guides

Acrylic on canvas, 4′x2.5′
This image represents my guides.
It’s hanging over my front door.
I know my angel, he is awesome, but never been in touch with guides. Is it just a matter of opening up to that?
I like all of your pictures, but especially “Mothers Day”. I can see the energy of the man and the tree and how it merges together. I came to believe that all living things share this energy and you painting sort of brings that out.
fluidspirit, it is just a matter of opening up to it. I will write a post on guides and how to connect with them.
Thanks dragonmommie!
Only time will tell brings back memories that I can’t place (yet).
Absolutely love that one!!
Thanks Dree!
‘Release’ is a great choice of colours. ‘Only Time Will Tell’ is also interesting… usually it’s the ideas that come from nowhere that end up having a deeper message to a story.
I really like all the pictures. In release, I can see the negativity flowing out and away.I like the Angels and Spirit Guides. In your comment to fluidspirit you mention you are going to do a post on Spirit Guides and how to contact them. I will be looking forward to that. It is something I am very interested in.

Can these be purchased? They are quite powerful…
If so, please contact me at jmadkins@tamu.edu.
Thank you Jeanette. Unfortunately, these particular paintings are not for sale. Most of them I have given away as gifts, the first one, “Release”, was just sold in a silent auction for a fundraiser.
I will be painting more that I will be selling. I will keep you posted.
I love your angel painting.
